A big part of the Netflix experience is the fun of watching together, commenting and reacting to great content. We believe even if you're watching something else alone, you should still get this same experience.
So, using classic scenes and characters from Netflix Originals and combining them with YouTube's real-time ad creation technology, we served up sassy six-second "quips" that contextually responded to people’s searches across popular categories and key calendar events.
Over 2000 quips were generated in real time, reaching 11 million and lifting brand awareness by 30%, allowing Netflix to emerge No.1 in brand recall among competitors. All while showing off our shows, and hitting the sweet spot (and the funny bone) every time.
